Lohren Green is a writer living in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is the author of a book of poetry entitled Poetical Dictionary, which was published by Atelos Press in 2003. Now in its fourth printing the book was a Small Press Distribution bestseller for the 2000-2010 decade. Atmospherics, a book of prose poetry, was published in 2014 by Quale Press. He is also the creator of The Ambient Poem, an app that converts data about local atmospheric conditions into poetry. His poems have appeared in Open City, 32 Poems, and Shark, and in the anthologies Old Flame and The Encyclopedia Project.
Lohren was an Artist in Residence at the Headlands Center for the Arts, and is currently serving on their Board of Directors. He completed his Ph.D. at U.C. Berkeley’s Department of Rhetoric, and his Master’s degree at the University of Cambridge where he studied history and philosophy of science.
